The UK equivalent of a criminal background check for Brazilian visa purposes is a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate. For the VITEM XIV application, you need a **Basic DBS Check**, which shows any unspent convictions. You do not need an Enhanced DBS Check.
