# Is There an Age Limit for Brazil's Digital Nomad Visa?

No, Brazil's VITEM XIV digital nomad visa has no age limit, minimum or maximum. What matters is not your age but whether you can meet the financial requirement: US$1,500 a month in foreign income or US$18,000 in savings, plus the standard documents. That means students over 18 with qualifying remote income, mid-career professionals, and retirees with pension or investment income from abroad can all apply. Applicants under 18 are generally included as dependents on a parent's application rather than as primary holders. For older applicants relying on a pension or passive income, the key is documenting it as a regular, foreign-source stream, exactly as any other applicant would.

## Who can apply, at any age

-   Students (18+) with qualifying remote income or the $18,000 savings route.
-   Working professionals of any age employed by or contracting for foreign companies.
-   Retirees with a foreign pension, annuity, or investment income that clears $1,500/month.
-   Children under 18 — included as dependents on a parent's application, not as primary applicants.

## Retirees and pension income
